Pielgrzymka Ślązaków do Rzymu i Viterbo w 1967 r. Na drodze polsko-niemieckiego pojednania

W dniach od 11 do 21 maja 1967 r. grupa 641 niemieckich Ślązaków pielgrzymowała do Rzymu i Viterbo. Ich celem było wspólne dziękczynienie za dar kanonizacji św. Jadwigi, jakiej w 1267 r. dokonał w Viterbo papież Klemens IV. W taki sposób chciano publicznie zamanifestować obecność Ślązaków w przestrzeni publicznej. W Rzymie i Viterbo modlono się wspólnie za śląską ojczyznę i śląskie rodziny, podzielone poglądami politycznymi, narodowymi i wreszcie żelazną kurtyną. Główne uroczystości dziękczynne miały miejsce w katedrze w Viterbo. Dodatkowo świętowano 100. rocznicę powstania śląskiej grupy maltańskiej, którym patronuje św. The study of human tolerance thresholds to impacts requires experiments on living or post mortem human subjects, which naturally raises ethical questions. To overcome these limitations, the development of numerical tools has led over the last few years to the implementation of numerical models more or less capable to accurately reproduce the mechanical behavior of the human body when subjected to various types of stresses. Gli Autori dopo aver descritto le caratteristiche ambientali del sottobacino Iudeo Bucari e l’attività agricola prettamente legata alla vitivinicoltura, soffermano l’attenzione sulle potenzialità produttiva di questo territorio espressa da diversi vitigni. L'obiettivo è quello di trasferire su di una basecartografica il diverso comportamento produttivo dei vitigni più rappresentati nel sottobacino Iudeo - Bucari, con il fine ultimo di fornire un valido strumento agli agronomi liberi professionisti ed ai tecnici delle cantine al fine di indirizzare l’attività produttiva dei viticoltori e migliorare la gestione dei suoli del territorio.

Thoracic injuries happen frequently in various frameworks of high velocity impact biomechanics. Rib fractures and lung injuries are the most common hard and soft tissue injuries in human thorax. This thesis aims to contribute to the investigation of dynamic responses of human tissues especially ribs and soft tissues under high velocity impacts using finite element modeling. Speed perception is an important task that the driver must perform continuously to control his/her vehicle. It appears that many factors influence this perception: height of the point of view, field of view, realism of the environment, but also realism of audio and proprioceptive rendering. If some high-performance car driving simulators are able to render motion satisfactorily according to all these criteria, it is not always the case. Interactions between willows and insect herbivores under enhanced ultraviolet-B radiation

We studied the effects of elevated ultraviolet-B radiation on interactions between insect herbivores and their host plants by exposing two species of phytochemically different willows, Salix myrsinifolia and S. phylicifolia, to a modulated increase in ultraviolet radiation in an outdoor experiment and monitoring the colonisation of insect herbivores on these willows. We examined the effect of increased ultraviolet-B (UV-B) radiation on (1) the quality of willow leaves, (2) the distribution and abundance of insect herbivores feeding on these willows, (3) the resulting amount of damage, and (4) the performance of insect larvae feeding on the exposed plant tissue.
